A short guide to the Erasmus+ programme, how it funds teacher training abroad, and how to apply.

What is Erasmus+?

Erasmus+ is the EU's programme for education, training, youth and sport. For teachers, it funds short, structured training abroad — like the courses run here in Cappadocia — as part of a school's professional development plan.

KA1 & KA2

KA1 (Mobility of Individuals) funds individual teachers or small groups attending a course abroad. KA2 (Cooperation Partnerships) funds longer-term collaboration between schools across countries. Most teachers joining our courses come through KA1.

How to Apply?

Your school (or a consortium coordinator) applies to their National Agency with a European Development Plan describing why the training is needed. Once approved, you book your course, travel and accommodation, and your school reports back afterward.

Funding & Grant

Approved projects receive a grant covering course fees, travel and daily subsistence, calculated using fixed EU contribution rates for your country and destination. We can provide an official invitation letter and course description to support your application.
